Fund your gap year by becoming a kitesurf or dive instructor in New Zealand
If you are planning a gap year, you can become a kitesurf or diving instructor in New Zealand and fund your travels doing something you love, taking home a qualification that will last for life. We offer ten-week intensive kite surfing and diving courses to take you from beginner kitesurfer or diver to internationally recognised IKO kitesurf instructor or SSI dive instructor. You can even do both at the same time in a 17-week combined diving and kitesurfing instructor course - the perfect combination of sports for wind and no wind conditions. You should never be bored, or unemployed!
We are based on the Karikari Peninsula between the Bay of Islands and 90 Mile Beach at the top of New Zealand’s North Island. Considered one of the top kite surfing spots in the world, and with some of the best diving in New Zealand, it is an amazing location. For kitesurfing we have beaches facing every direction within 10 minutes of our school, shallow learning areas, and the choice of flat water or waves. For diving we have crystal clear water, deep-water dives straight from the peninsula’s beaches and wrecks including the Rainbow Warrior close by.
